Michael Berry
Michael has been Vicar of St Philip's since May 2006. Before that he served as Priest Assistant at St Mark's (Remuera). Born in Auckland, Michael attended Auckland Grammar and Auckland University. He has bachelors degrees in Arts (Geography and History) and Theology. Michael was ordained in 2003.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys the company of good friends and good wine. On his days off, he can usually be found in front of a good film.
In the wider church, he is a member of the Auckland Diocesan Council, and Council for Christian Nurture. In previous years Michael was a member of the youth council and national youth executive.
Michael is married to Rebecca, a German and Social Studies teacher at Baradene College. They are yet to have children, though enjoy the company of Baldrick, the Vicarage cat!
