How You Can Help Minimize

The wool for each 3 garment layette now costs nearly $15 and the winter stockpile of wool is getting very low.  Non-knitters in the Parish are invited to contribute towards the purchase of more wool.  It is bought in bulk at a discounted price by St Aiden’s church.

New knitters are always welcome.  Phone Sheila 575 8572

For the past 11 years, St Philips knitters have projected a prodigious number of cardigans, vests, beanies, booties and baby-blankets for babies born into distressed circumstances. 

Our St Philip's team of busy knitters join the many parishioners of St Aidan's Churches, Remuera, and the Remuera Baptist Church.  All the baby clothes produced are distributed to women and babies in need by Pregnancy Help and are always very much appreciated by the recipients. 

Each layette includes a gift card “From the women of St Philips’ to welcome the new baby, and this week another 10 layettes and 2 baby-blankets have been delivered to St Aidan’s. 

We need a more knitters to join our team.  Wool, patterns & buttons are available from Sheila.  If you can knit, follow patterns, have time to enjoy making these valuable items then please join us.
